About

Hellipsis

is my attempt at writing down my thoughts and opinions on what’s happening in the world. The topic matter is understandably vast, but I generally focus on matters of personal interest. If you read through the posts I’ve written, you’ll notice that the said focus is on political stupidity and other shanenigans (I have no idea how to spell that…) that go on around us, sometimes reported in the news, sometimes kinda, sometimes not really…

There’s too much useless news in the media nowadays. I don’t care if Pete Doherty got busted for cocaine possession or something again (just throw him in jail…), or that Lindsay Lohan went drinking, or that Paris Hilton is back to her own dumb self, flashing her tits to the world again.

This dumbing down of the information which today’s generation receives from the media is starting to become worrisome. Are people really beginning to care more about what their favourite celebrity wears, or which celebrity is swapping bodily fluids with whom? More than about issues which actually affect their lives?

I won’t write about the social lifes of celebrities, or about other such trivialities. My attempt is to expand upon and complete the little news we receive that really should know. Well, typically anyway…

I believe in research, and will usually go to some lengths to ensure the stuff I post on this blog is correct. I don’t just wish to recreate a news article as it is. Hence the research. There’s always something between the lines, and that’s what I’m trying to find.

In case you’re wondering, although I write primarily about U.S. politics and other things American, I am not a U.S. citizen. And though a lot of the things I write concerning America may have a critical and negative ring to them, overall I do not have a negative view of the American people, American customs, nor America as a country. That same disclaimer likewise applies to the rest of the world and its people.

The only group of people that the disclaimer doesn’t apply to is stupid people.
It doesn’t matter if you’re black, brown or white.
It doesn’t matter if you’re Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, Jewish, atheist, or Hindu.
It doesn’t matter if you’re American, Korean, Iranian, French or Finnish.
It doesn’t matter if you’re male or female, homosexual or straight.
Stupidity is universal.

As much as anyone, I’d always appreciate comments. If you happen to wander upon my site, and are interested in the content, drop me a line, either by email or by responding to a post in the comments section.

Don’t forget to leave your website/blog address so I can check out your writings. (And, if it’s any good, I’ll keep reading it…)
